Hands-on Workshop

Come learn the tips and tricks for repurposing your quilts!  Jandee Jones will walk you through all of the best practices to salvage your family heirlooms or even your thrift store finds and you'll put your knowledge to work right away handcrafting and designing a quilt remnant bunting that you can use as a celebratory touch for any upcoming event or even as a permanent decor piece. 

"Cutter Quilts" and all supplies and sewing machines will be provided for this item included in the class and you'll leave with the finished product in hand. Additionally Jandee will walk you through her process for other repurposing projects such as hoodies, shorts, pillows, etc.  She'll have examples for you to see so you can ask questions about specific projects and she'll get your started on your journey of giving quilts a second life.

WHAT'S INCLUDED: Instruction, pattern, all sewing machines/implements/accessories needed to make the project.

WHO'S INVITED: Anyone ages 13+ (If you want to accompany a child younger than 13, let us know! If you're there to supervise, that works for us!)

TEACHER: Jandee Jones grew up on farm here in Pleasant Grove, Utah and the old adage "Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, or Do without," was really a key part of her family culture.  As a classically trained ballerina she has always been a seeker and lover of beautiful things and its second nature for her view life through the creative lens.  With long experience in hand crafting and sewing  and a love of all things vintage and old has lead Jandee to experiment and perfect all types of repurposing projects.  She loves the idea of giving something a new life and there is something so charming about seeing things presented in an unexpected way.  Jandee has been been a featured contributor on KSL Studio 5 and along with her husband, Jordan, (a fine art painter whose work you can see at www.jordanjonesart.com) has been carefully curating a home and garden full of unexpected whimsy and fun repurposed projects!  With long experience as an instructor she can't wait to keep share her knowledge and keep you entertained for a night of creativity and fun.  She is not an avid social media user, but you can see a few of her projects on her instagram accounts  @fancifulcharm and @jandeejo) 

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: Due to the nature of the prep work required for in-person events, we do not offer refunds once a workshop has been purchased. However, if you are no longer able to attend the workshop, you can send us an email with the name of the person to whom we should transfer the ticket.
