Join us for a delightful morning of crafting where we will begin your journey into the world of whimsical fairy houses. We are thrilled to host Cindy Kramer, a local expert who has created over 70 fairy houses currently on display at the Thanksgiving Point gardens. With her guidance, you will learn the art of constructing these charming structures using found objects like moss, pinecones, unique branches, and bark.

Whether you are aiming for a rustic woodland retreat or a tiny cottage filled with charm, this workshop provides all the materials you need to build your foundation. Think of your time with Cindy as a creative jump-start; you’ll spend the session constructing the core of your house and learning expert assembly techniques. Since the most magical houses are never truly finished, you’ll leave with a beautiful centerpiece and the skills to keep adding your own intricate details at home!

TEACHER: Cindy Kramer has been crafting for decades, starting as a teen when she sold her nature-inspired designs in local boutiques. She holds a degree in Textile Science from BYU and loves to share her extensive knowledge of sewing, quilting, and design. Since moving to Utah four years ago, she has become a Master Gardener and a dedicated volunteer at Thanksgiving Point. One of their garden designers saw her adorable handmade fairy house and enlisted her to create over 70 for the gardens! She is a mom of three and a grandmother of eight who brings immense skill to everything she does. We are so lucky to have Cindy join us this season and teach us how to create our very own fairy house!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• The Goal: Build a sturdy, whimsical base and learn Cindy’s signature decorating techniques.

• The Timeline: In this 2–2.5 hour window, we’ll focus on structure and primary features.

• The Masterpieces: While the 70 houses in the gardens took weeks to perfect, your workshop piece is a "fairy starter home" designed for you to continue embellishing long after class ends.

WHO'S INVITED: This class is for anyone ages 10+

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: Due to the nature of the prep work required for in-person events, we are not offering refunds or credits to another workshop once a workshop has been purchased. Please make certain you are able to attend before purchasing your tickets.
