Hands-on Workshop
Handmade soaps are an impressive gift to make for yourself, your family, and friends. In this workshop the process of making cold processed soap will be demystified and made accessible for everyone. After a brief demonstration and discussion, you will walk through the process of making a customized batch of soap. You’ll get to pick a scent, color and a design to make your first batch of artisan soap.
Because this is an involved hands-on workshop, space is extremely limited, so make sure to save your seat today!
WHAT'S INCLUDED: Participants will go home with recipes, resources and their very own 2 lb batch of cold process soap in a reusable mold. When cut and cured the soap loaf will make 8-10 bars that can be used or gifted.

WHO'S INVITED: Anyone age 12+ (If you want to accompany a child younger than 12, let us know! If you're there to supervise, that works for us!)
TEACHER: Lelia (pronounced Lee-la) Lyon is an Alpine resident of 10 years with a passion for making DIY natural body care products. Her interest started as a teenager looking to learn how to make lip balm and lead her to study herbal medicine and nutrition in Colorado. Eventually she shifted into a career in the natural foods industry, ultimately landing her dream job in an herbal apothecary helping customers and teaching body care classes. Now she has retired from the industry, and she devotes her time at home with her kids. She is an enthusiastic teacher and loves to teach classes to encourage her students to have good clean bubbly fun!
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: Due to the nature of the prep work required for in-person events, we do not offer refunds once a workshop has been purchased. However, if you are no longer able to attend the workshop, you can send us an email with the name of the person to whom we should transfer the ticket.
