Pie Workshop with Katie Sparks Dayton

The idea of making pies from scratch has always scared me & I end up purchasing them from local bakeries or from my grocer's freezer. Have no fear! Longtime Alpine resident, Katie Sparks Dayton will be back at The Workshop to hold our hands and teach us how to create delicious pies from scratch! This is a great skill to have in time for Pi day coming up the following week & holiday gatherings!


Katie will demo how to make and roll out a flaky pie crust but she'll also talk about other kinds of crust that aren't as intimidating like graham cracker, and even galettes (no pie plate) pie. Katie will also discuss her best tips and trips for fillings, custard, cream, and fruit. We welcome all skill levels in this class, especially those who are new to pie making!


DATE: Saturday, March 9th

TIME: 7:00 - 9:00 PM

COST: $50 includes detailed instruction, several tried & true recipes, Katie's favorite pie tin to use when you bake at home. You'll also get to enjoy a sampling from a few different pies that Katie created!
