Handmade soaps are a wonderful body care item to make for yourself, your family, and friends. In this workshop the process of making cold processed soap will be demystified and demonstrated. We will cover the basics of how to make a classic and fool proof soap as well as techniques to customize it with colors, fragrances, and botanicals.

WHAT'S INCLUDED: Participants will go home with full size soap samples of all the soaps made in class, as well as recipes, resources, and the confidence to make their own bubbly creations!
TEACHER: Lelia (pronounced Lee-la) Lyon is an Alpine resident of 8 years with a passion for making DIY natural body care products. Her interest started as a teenager looking to learn how to make lip balm and lead her to study herbal medicine and nutrition in Colorado. Eventually she shifted into a career in the natural foods industry, ultimately landing her dream job in an herbal apothecary helping customers and teaching body care classes. Now retired from the industry she devotes her time at home with her kids. She is an enthusiastic teacher and loves to teach classes to encourage her students to have good clean bubbly fun!
