About the event
Autumnal Wreaths with Amber Dickson from Amber Reverie Floral
Hands-on Workshop
As summer slips gently into autumn, we begin to notice the subtle shifts. The sun's light grows more golden. The hillsides are golden, freckled with clusters of late-season wildflowers. The leaves on the tree show more prominent veins, and burnished color seeps into the edges; each leaf like an individual painting. This time of year inspires so much exploration and creativity, and it is the perfect time to gather nature's final splendor before hunkering down for the colder months. In this class, we will learn about autumnal wreath making, with a focus on local, sustainable, and foraged ingredients. At the end of the class, you should leave with a beautiful wreath for you to enjoy in your own home, the skills for future wreath-making, and a deeper curiosity for the beauty unfolding throughout this season, and those to come.
"The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on."
- Emily Dickinson
